Since this is such an immense part of my life, it deserves an update!
And for those of you who are sardonically smirking in sonorous salaciousness : "buying a Coffee Plunger, an Adventure??? hrmph!" I will say 3 things:
a) you've obviously not been Coffee Plunger (or any other Plunger for that matter) shopping with me before
b) what have you done with your life lately? Rescued the Holy Grail from penguins protesters??
c) potato!
A simple trip to Lotte Mart, ended with
- one 2-cup glass coffee plunger
- two hardened plastic double-layer portable bodum plungers, for taking to the office
- one large comforter (for AhYoung)
- a pair of new shoes
- one Westlife CD (for AhYoung, seriously)
- one Large cooking pot (for making large batches of chicken curry..mmm)
- one chicken (cut into bits, minus icky parts)
- 3 potatoes
- garlic (150 grams, already peeled)
- mushrooms (big round ones)
Taking the shopping cart was a bad idea? =]

Hi! I'm a Malaysian, and by end of this month, I will be stationed at Seoul for 1 to 2 years. Can you advise what I should bring over to Seoul? How about the internet access there? Is it easy to apply for the internet access in Korea? Thanks
Hey Rick!
Welcome to Seoul!
If you're coming at the end of this month, bring at least one super warm coat and be ready to wear it at the airport.
Internet access is easy. You will need to get an Alien Registration card (foreigner registration) before you can register for any contracts though (internet, phone, cable etc). That usually takes a week. If you can't wait, get your employers to do it. It is easy and cheap, and super fast.
If you are in Seoul and not any province, then you can get everything you want/need here. It's a 2-point european electric socket, but voltage is the same.
email me at blog username at gmail if you have any other questions =]
do you know where in Seoul you will be living?
Cheers
Logan
